Developing Excellence in Serving
Make it a priority to spend time with Jesus and stay full of the Spirit, full of Faith, and full of Wisdom.
Appreciate and value the anointing in your life. Korah and his men were not appreciative of their positions even though God had given them great leadership roles.
(A) Recognize that you are anointed. Acknowledge and be more conscious of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence. The Holy Spirit is in you to help you guide and teach. 1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will[a] abide in Him.
(B) Function in the anointing God has given you. Not only is there an anointing within, but an anointing that comes upon you to function in a particular place, position, or office. Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed.
(C) Do not try to be like someone else or do something you are not called to do. Be yourself. Romans 12:6-8 “We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is Prophecy, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is Serving, let him serve: if it is Teaching, let him teach: if it is Encouraging, let him encourage: if it is Contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously: if it is Leadership, let him govern diligently: if it is Showing Mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”
(D) The devil will contend for the anointing. He hates the anointing on your life because he lost the anointing himself. He also knows what you can accomplish with the anointing. Do not let the devil discourage you, condemn you, or make you feel unworthy.

Fear: The first enemy Nehemiah had to face and overcome was fear. God has a Reputation of calling people to do things they are not humanly qualified to do. You do not have to be qualified, just willing. Depend on the anointing to help you accomplish what God has called you to do. 2 Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Cleanse yourself constantly so you can always be useful vessel to the Master. Get rid of anything in your life that displease Jesus. Be a vessel of silver and gold. Hebrews 12:1 …stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us.

God is a good God, and we ought to be like Him. Have the attitude that you want to do good and be a Blessing to others.

Godliness is God-like-ness. When we spend time with the Father, we become more and more like Him.
